Apply to present at PAC 2025

Submission Deadline:
Sunday, August 24 at 11:59pm EST

We have numerous ways for individuals, collectives, and organizations to participate in PAC 2025. See the below descriptions for the different types of submission categories and use the corresponding buttons to go to the formal submission forms. We welcome and encourage work from students, interdisciplinary scholars or artists, public scholars, and more.

Individual Research Presentations

Conference participants may choose to submit abstracts for individual presentations or papers. This includes consideration for both panels and posters.

Applicants will be asked to submit a title for their talk, a 300-word abstract, and keywords to help conference planners to best organize and structure sessions.

Accepted abstracts will be added to a panel with a moderator and 2-3 other speakers. During the panel, each speaker will be allotted dedicated time for their paper or presentation, followed by questions and dialogue with the audience.

Pre-Formed, Group Research Panels

Participants may choose to submit a group application for a pre-formed panel comprised of 3-5 pre-selected speakers.

The group should appoint a panel organizer to submit a single application on behalf of the group.

The panel organizer will need to submit a title, description (no more than 300 words), and keywords for the panel, as well as titles and short descriptions (150 words maximum) for each of the other participants and their respective papers or presentations.

Non-Traditional Session Formats

We welcome proposals for this anything and everything category of sessions and invite submissions that are creative, spur multi-directional knowledge sharing and learning, offer attendees new skills, and overall take interactive approaches to learning and exchange. Sessions can be workshops, teach-ins, author talks, community dialogues, interviews, art showings or performances, walking tours, field trips, film screenings — or something else outside of these categories.

Applicants will be asked to provide a title for their session, a session description, themes, and logistical requirements (tech needs, capacity, etc.)

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by by Monday, September 8, 2025.

The conference program will be released no later than Wednesday, September 17.
