REGISTER FOR PAC 2026
REGISTRATION FOR PAC 2025 IS FREE AND OPEN-TO-THE-PUBLIC. DONATIONS TO SUPPORT CONFERENCE COSTS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED ON A SLIDING SCALE.
Registration Form
You are able to register up to 5 attendees.
If you plan to donate, the registration form only captures an intention to donate. Actual donation payments use a specific donation portal, hosted by American University. Click here to donate.
Donations
Donations are routed to the Department of Anthropology via an official American University giving page.
The Public Anthropology Conference was able to return after a seven-year hiatus after being awarded a grant through the AU Office of Research. Though this award has been critical, it is not enough to cover the full range of offerings and support we try to provide and the funding expires in January 2026. Donations are critical for us to ensure long-term viability of the conference.
Why donate?
Donations help us:
Host the conference at a more central location
Offer free registration and transportation support
Provide complimentary meals or snacks
Provide interpretation services and compensate interpretation professions
Offer more student fellowships
Provide digital access to conference programming and materials
Increase the size and offerings of the conference
Support conference sustainability and longevity
Sliding Scale Information
Recommended donations are calculated on a sliding scale, factoring in income, role, affiliation, and student status.
We also know that there are many additional factors which impact an individual’s financial position. While these are “recommended amounts,” we trust everyone’s assessment of their own financial capacity and how that informs whether to donate and at what level.
