Engage • Collaborate • Exchange
2025’s Public Anthropology Conference will be a free-to-the-public, two-day event held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in downtown Washington, D.C. on November 7 and 8. Our goal with this conference is create a space where an expansive set of thinkers and doers — formal academics, students, public and independent scholars, advocates, organizations, and community members — can dynamically share insights, discuss ideas, and build connections.
To create these spaces for engage, collaboration, and different modes of learning, we create equal space for typical conference formats (panels, papers, and posters) and for more interactive formats such as group dialogues, workshops, walking tours, performances, films, and more.
